Agonvé Island
Population : 3200 inhabitants
Number of children under 15 : 1820
The island of Agonvé is surrounded by the waters of Lake Azili 150 km from Cotonou. The entire population gets their daily water supply from this lake. This is unfit for human consumption and causes many health problems including diarrheal diseases.
It is within this framework that the Raoul Follereau Foundation and the Safe Water Cube endowment fund / Association Agir Ensemble have teamed up to provide two Safe Water Cube fountains in this village.
The project consists of installing 2 Safe Water Cube fountains in the village of Agonvè Island in Benin to allow families to have access to drinking water and prevent the proliferation of diseases due to poor water quality.
This project focuses on two points: WATER and HEALTH
